Great experience with Sam and would highly recommend to any owners looking to improve their engagement and communication with their dogs. After a few sessions I saw significant difference in our 15-month-old lab and our 5 year old also learned some new behaviours. Sam listened to what I was struggling with and designed a training plan which makes it much easier to continue reinforcing the training on my own between sessions. Sam is a skilled, compassionate and effective dog (and human) trainer ! Both our labs love his infectious enthusiasm that makes training fun.

After feeling overwhelmed with the training and regression of my Working Cocker Spaniel, I sought one to one lessons with Sam to assist. Sam was brilliant from the initial meet and designing the custom-tailored training plan right through each session. The confidence that I have gained has helped shape Duke’s obedience and allowed me to gain my confidence back. I no longer feel overwhelmed when out on our daily walks! Sam has been working with my 18-month-old lab Boris for a couple of months now. The difference in Boris attention span, loose lead walking, general obedience and impulsive behaviour is unbelievable. We had a few couple of one-to-one sessions then, due to illness and me being unable to walk Boris, Sam has been taking Boris on training walks . The advice and training have been invaluable. Sam has also followed up the training walks with comprehensive advice in e mails and always has a written plan for me to follow. Highly recommend.

I contacted Gladrock Gundogs on Instagram to have some online training regarding improving heel work and settling within new environments and can definitely say that Sam was brilliant in helping! Had an hour call to discuss where we’d like to get to in our training and received a great detailed plan within 24 hours and has been in touch many times to check how we’re getting on and provide support if needed – thanks again

I saw Sam from Gladrock Gundogs on Tiktok and contacted him as he has dogs a similar breed to ours, from the first contact he was so helpful, we had an hour introduction session where we talked about our issues, wants and hopes for our dog, he then out together a fantastic plan that we could follow and we had a weekly catch up online, his plan was easy to follow and set things out with realistic goals, with his help out dog has shown so much improvement already and it’s only been a few weeks so I’d we continue using the information and plan he has given us we know that we have a much better bond with our dog and he will enjoy his training and be more fulfilled. I would definitely recommend Sam and Gladrock Gundogs to anyone who needs any help with their dog

We came across Sam and his blog on TikTok. From my initial conversation on where Duke was (3-year-old GSP who we now look after due to a rather unfortunate set of circumstances) and what we wanted to achieve Sam drew up a plan. I knew this was going to be part dog training but also a large part of it human training. The first visit showed Sam to be well versed in dog behaviour and how to get the best from both Duke and myself, a very relaxed and informative 90-minute session with follow up homework sent the next day and the focus areas to work on. Other sessions involved family members with homework to follow but each session with Sam was an absolute pleasure. Duke has come on well over the past couple of months, purely down to Sams guidance and help in instructing us both. Training aside, he’s also the kind of guy I feel you would want to have at a BBQ and chat over a beer

We were really struggling with our 4mth old puppy. We had working cockers before, but this WCS puppy was very different from our previous two. Sam helped us with a 4-week puppy training plan including basic obedience, heelwork, engagement, steadiness and introduced us to gundog basic training. We have made huge progress with Sam’s guidance and patience and without Sam’s help, I am 100% sure we would still be struggling. We would definitely recommend him!
