What is the Gladrock Club?

The club is an opportunity for you to be added to my WhatsApp group with like-minded handlers and have direct access to training days and group classes.

Location: Fettercairn (Fasque Estate)

Training Days

What are training days?

Training days are an opportunity for you to work your dog alongside other handlers on ground holding wild game.

How long are training days?
9:30am to 12:30pm (3 hours) with a short break in-between

What is covered in training days?

  • Basic obedience
  • Retrieving
  • Hunting skills
  • Handling & communication
  • Dummy launcher
  • Water work
  • Cold game practice (By request, shooting season only)

Group Classes

What are group classes?
Group classes are an opportunity for you to work with your dog alongside other handlers in a calm and structure manner.
 
How long are group classes?
1 hour

  • Foundation commands
  • Basic obedience
  • Lead manners
  • Heel work
  • Engagement
  • Handling & communication
  • Intro to gundog training

Categories

Puppies

Puppies (4 to 18 months) I will always try to match you with other dogs of a similar age

Beginner

Beginners (18 months and over) these classes are aimed at first time dog owners or handlers who wish to solidify the basics

Novice

Novice (18 months and over)

Rules

Training days up to 3 dogs
⁠Group classes up to 4 dogs
Dates will be announced on the group in advance
First come first served

No membership fee, the club is completely free. Only the training days and group classes are chargeable.

The whatsapp group does not offer you free advice and is only to stay up to date with training days and group classes. Any questions can be answered during training sessions.

The club is not gundog specific, all breeds are welcome

Please do not bring your dog if 1) she is in season 2) he/she is aggressive or showing signs of reactivity towards other dogs
